Amphetamine is the active ingredient in Phentermine, it is a stimulant and an appetite suppressant. The drug works by stimulating the central nervous system, which decreases appetite and increases the person’s heart rate/blood pressure.

Some of the side effects are bad taste in mouth, changes in sex drive, constipation, diarrhea, difficulty sleeping, dizziness, dry mouth, exaggerated sense of well being, headache, impotence, nervousness, overstimulation, restlessness, sleeplessness, and upset stomach.
