Top 5 easy ways to lose weight quickly!
#1. Drink that Water!
The answer is NO…you don’t have to start living like a fish, but water is very important to our bodies. I mean we are made of about 70% water so it is important to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water per day. Drinking that water will help you lose weight by flushing out the wastes from your kidneys and also suppress most of your appetite! So drinking water will not only cleanse your system but you’ll also eat less by drinking water before and during your meal! Also one interesting fact about water is that, studies have shown that you can lose up to 62 calories just by drinking ice cold water…weirrdd.
#2. Use Smaller Plates…
Okay, I know your mother told you to finish everything that’s placed in front of you, but with the portions being ridiculous in modern restaurants nowaday
s, this is a bad idea. When the platter is big as your torso or you’re at a buffet? Well…you should use your common sense and take some to go! I know it can be hard to resist not eating all that mouth watering food in front of you.
That’s why we recommend having smaller plates, because smaller plates means smaller portions. Not only does a smaller plate make you grab less food, it will also make you walk back and forth when you want to get seconds. So while you’re doing the walking your stomach’s already doing the digesting (keep that in mind). Thus you’ll be less hungry and you’ll actually have some room for a small dessert.
Also food for thought studies have shown that the color dark blue is the color that fights off appetite. So keep that in mind when you’re buying new plates.
#3. Exercise
Okay, lets get rid of this myth…NO, Exercising and "working out" does not have to be a painful experience. Exercising does not have to involve big weights and running on the treadmill all day like a hamster. When I mean exercise I mean take a nice relaxing 15-30min walk around your neighborhood or park. We all have bills to pay and its always good to take a breather once in awhile. So instead of sitting in front of that TV let’s go outside and enjoy the trees, birds, and the fresh air around us.
If you really can’t find the time to take a walk around your neighborhood or park here are some other suggestions…
Trade in your power mower for a push version.
Park your car at the back of the lot.
Sweep the drive instead of using a leaf-blower.
Get off the bus a few stops earlier.
Walk around the mall more then usual..but don’t go on a shopping spree.
Take the stairs every chance you get.
Play with your kids not just watch them. Be active and have fun with them!
